The Director of Business Development Industrial Solutions is responsible for driving a global team of regional business development professionals to application-level business opportunities through early customer engagement. Focus will be on the Industrial market including applications in Building and Industrial Automation. This can include door locks building security HVAC and other technologies enabling next generation technologies. The Director will act as the strategic leader and lead regional experts guiding market strategy influencing internal stakeholders and enabling solution wins in close coordination with sales marketing product lines and engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead mentor and develop a team of 3 US regional Business Development Managers.
- Set global strategic goals align regional activities with corporate objectives and ensure performance delivery.
- Customer Engagement & Opportunity Development
- Oversee customer engagement strategies and ensure early involvement in design cycles while enabling all possible company products.
- Support team in building relationships with key accounts and ecosystem partners (internal and external).
- Guide the identification of solution-level opportunities and differentiation across key industrial segments.
- Solution Enablement & Evangelism
- Direct the promotion and positioning of relevant application-focused solutions.
- Champion cross-business solution initiatives at a strategic level.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Facilitate collaboration between the BD team field sales FAEs marketing and business units.
- Represent the regional voice in corporate planning and solution development.
- Market Insight & Strategy
- Lead market intelligence gathering efforts across the team.
- Provide strategic guidance for industrial market penetration and solution planning.
- Feed market intelligence back into business units
Qualifications :
- This is a hybrid role for local candidates in San Jose CA; Phoenix AZ or Plano TX. There is no relocation offer for this position.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related field (Masters preferred).
- 8 years of experience in business development or technical sales within the Semiconductor or Industrial industry with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of the Industrial market with experience in Building Automation Industrial Automation or Energy sectors.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed cross-functional environment.

Additional Information :
The expected annual pay range for this position in San Jose is $190K-$220K. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
