Job Description
Join our team at the St. James Hotel as a Room Attendant where you will promote a positive image of our property by maintaining cleanliness and presenting a pleasant honest and friendly demeanor. Ensure a high standard of guest service and satisfaction by upholding our core values.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean guest rooms and public areas including windows doors walls floors closets fixtures bathrooms and furniture following standard operating procedures.
- Maintain cleaning cart and supplies.
- Replenish guest rooms and baths with amenities supplies and linens.
- Inspect rooms for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly; replace batteries light bulbs etc. Report repair requests to the supervisor or maintenance department.
- Remove trash dirty linens and room service items.
- Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties.
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely friendly and efficient manner.
- Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets spring cleaning super cleaning etc.) as required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality service by establishing following and enforcing organization quality system standards.
- Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager.
Qualifications :
- Six to twelve months of related experience/training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
