Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech. Vishay San Jose CA is currently seeking applicants for a R&D Test Engineering Technician.
Responsible for: involvement in the development of integrated circuits at the heart of modern power systems. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong problem solving and excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can work easily with cross-functional teams and in flexible environments.

What you will be doing:
- Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions
- Performs tests on manufacturing ATE equipment
- Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment
- Collect organize and summarize data
- Work from schematics diagrams written and verbal descriptions layouts or defined plans to perform testing validation and trouble-shooting functions
- Work with Engineering lab environment utilizing test development or diagnostic equipment including but not limited to test programs oscilloscopes signal generators and specialized test apparatus
- Support in the house keeping including calibration scheduling of the engineering lab / test floor and its engineering equipment and accessories
What you will bring along:
- Experience in Automatic Test Equipment operations (basic and advanced) is a plus including (but not limited to) ASL1000 Eagle ETS-88 Eagle ETS-800 ElectroGlass EG4090u TSK UF200x TEL P8 P12 etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement and assesses viable solutions.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently including ability to assess and manage priorities.
- Effective communications skills particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
- Knowledge in general electronics and mechanics; electrical testing concepts

Pay Range: $43.00-$48.00 Per Hour
