Were looking for a fearless SEO practitioner to help shape the future of organic growth at ClickUp. This isnt your traditional SEO role. While youll bring deep expertise in keyword research optimization and performance tracking the landscape has shifted and were evolving with it. Youll play a critical role in balancing proven strategies with new opportunities emerging from AI-powered discovery.
In this role youll contribute to a culture of experimentation and learning by testing bold ideas leveraging AI-powered workflows and helping us move faster across initiatives like localization programmatic SEO and bespoke content. Youll be both a strategist and an operator working with meaningful autonomy to turn insights into execution and driving measurable results across multiple surfaces. Youll have end-to-end ownership over key initiatives from concept to execution to analysis.

Key Responsibilities- Partner with us to evolve and balance our SEO strategy across both traditional search and emerging AI surfaces (e.g. AI Mode AIO ChatGPT Perplexity and beyond).
- Contribute to a culture of experimentation by launching bold ideas analyzing results quickly learning from failure and adapting strategies at the pace todays search landscape demands.
- Collaborate closely with content and engineering teams to bring SEO strategies to life through scalable high-quality execution.
- Help design and operationalize AI workflows that accelerate content production localization and on-page optimization at scale.
- Monitor ClickUps visibility across both traditional and AI-generated results and build systems to identify performance gaps and guide strategic action.
- Stay deeply informed on shifts in search by tracking platform updates expert insights and relevant case studies in order to keep ClickUps strategy ahead of the curve.
- Balance tactical execution with long-term vision by challenging best practices and pushing beyond the status quo to unlock faster smarter and more effective growth.
What youll need
- 5 years in a dedicated SEO role with ownership over both strategy and execution ideally within B2B or B2C SaaS.
- A proven track record of launching and scaling SEO experiments taking bold data-informed risks and learning quickly.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize for impact manage multiple initiatives and operate autonomously.
- Familiarity with modern SEO tools (e.g. GSC Ahrefs Lumar) and hands-on comfort with headless CMS platforms.
- Experience with automation tools such as Retool n8n or AirOps is a plus
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to clearly communicate SEO impact to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with programmatic SEO and scalable content systems.
- An intrinsic drive to learn adapt and stay ahead of industry shifts.
