Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the health & wellness of the Lehigh Valley vulnerable community members and is recognized as a Federally Qualified Health Center-Look Alike (FQHC-LA). VHP Lehigh Valley Physicians Practice provides direct patient care to vulnerable populations including underserved communities elderly patients and those with limited access to healthcare resources. Physicians partner with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive and patient-centered care for vulnerable populations including internal referrals to social services and other community resources. VHP Lehigh Valley Physicians Practice (LVPP) is seeking a Physician who is passionate about providing high-quality accessible cost-effective adult primary care to a highly complex patient population and serving as a role model for medical residents demonstrating professionalism compassion and empathy in patient care and teaching interactions.
We are seeking a Physician who has a passion in teaching as well as working in an underserved community. The position will be split into 60% of the time teaching residents and 40% of the time practicing. Lehigh Valley Physician Practice is open Monday-Friday 8a-5p and has 4 Physicians 3 APCs and 30 other team members that you will be working with. LVPP has robust embedded wrap around services and resources such as behavioral health diabetes educators social workers RN case managers and pharmacists. LVPP is also the ambulatory training site for Internal Medicine transitional year and psych residents. Call is rotated between the Physicians and APCs at this practice. Hospital rounding will be expected on average 7-8 weekends.
