Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

Pfizers Global Information Security (GIS) organization delivers proactive cyber defense for the global enterprise. Our mission is to secure all of Pfizers digital information assets ranging from our scientific breakthroughs to the manufacturing floor and out to the patients we serve. Strong Analytical skills are key to the Cybersecurity Operations role which enables the individual to quickly make data-led decisions. As Regional Lead you will be the go-to person for your geographical region for the Cybersecurity Operations team providing Cybersecurity guidance and responsibility for day-to-day issues to end-users support teams and other analysts as well as working closely with the Engineering & DevOps groups within Global Cybersecurity Engineering (GCE).

The Regional Lead will look for and drive operational efficiencies liaising with the partner teams to reduce impact and toil as identified. Oversee operational metrics measurement and highlight problem areas with relevant teams within the SRE model.

The position requires a balance of technical expertise and good communication skills to drive and support effective GCE solutions. The individual will report to the Cybersecurity Operations Senior Manager. The Cybersecurity team is part of the GCE organization with Pfizer Global Information Security.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional Operations:

Accountable for day-to-day responsibilities with your localized region. Support the Cybersecurity Engineering & DevOps teams deployments and proactive monitoring. Ensure operational support readiness approving turn over materials and procedure. Oversee the day-to-day metrics used to identify problem areas and ensure all service areas have the correct reporting on status and volume.

  • Mentor junior staff/contingent workers to allow them to progress their technical skills or improve problem resolution steps.

  • Review metrics and attribute any impact to measurable entity.

  • Identify development opportunities that can be implemented to minimize impact and improve workflows.

  • Manage SRE feedback action items from GCE Engineering or DevOps and ServiceDesk.

  • Analyze existing Security reviews to identify improvements in results or reduce security gaps.

  • Demonstrate experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset adaptability to change and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Automation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes increase automation and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of cybersecurity operations services.

Strategy and Vision: Maintain knowledge of latest and industry leading technologies and practices to drive new solutions and ideas and create a security first mentality across Pfizer. Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity operations services within your region.

Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure effectiveness. Produce regular reports for leadership highlighting the status of operational effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.

Procedure and Knowledge Development. Collaborate with other GCE teams to ensure Develop and deliver training programs to educate junior staff and contractors on the security systems policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.

  • 4 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or technology/cybersecurity support in a corporate environment

  • Experience collaborating with technical strategic and business stakeholders to create innovative technical solutions to meet business and security requirements.

  • Experience developing measurable operational improvements over time.

  • Strong ability to drive operational solutions and meet capacity demand through automation self-service and ServiceDesk relationships.

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to develop talent and build bench strength in a high demand technology field.

  • Outstanding communication skills including the ability to write and verbally articulate industry terminology to interact at a technical level management level and senior executive level.
