Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Technical Delivery Manager (Microwave) to lead the end-to-end delivery of microwave transmission projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning coordinating and executing microwave network deployments ensuring delivery on time within scope and budget while meeting technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:

    • Lead the planning scheduling and execution of microwave transmission rollout projects.

    • Manage project milestones risks and dependencies.

    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery.

  • Technical Oversight:

    • Oversee the design integration and optimization of microwave links.

    • Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements.

    • Validate line-of-sight (LOS) surveys and path engineering results.

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

    • Manage relationships with OEMs (e.g. Ericsson Huawei NEC Ceragon) and third-party contractors.

    • Liaise with cross-functional teams including RF planning transport and operations.

  • Quality & Compliance:

    • Ensure all delivered solutions meet safety performance and quality benchmarks.

    • Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management.

    • Maintain accurate records of technical configurations site documentation and test results.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in microwave transmission networks with at least 3 years in a project or delivery management role.

  • Strong understanding of microwave technologies (e.g. PDH SDH IP/MPLS Ethernet).

  • Hands-on experience with microwave planning tools (e.g. Pathloss Radio Mobile Atoll).

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale deployments in telecom environments.

  • Familiarity with site acquisition tower construction and integration processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification.

  • Knowledge of 5G transport network requirements.

  • Experience with NMS platforms (e.g. Huawei U2000 Ericsson ENM).

  • Excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills.

  • This job is a full-time permanent role 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Widnes Office
