Summary:

We are seeking a Country Sales Leader - SMI to lead and grow our operations in Spain within the smart metering sector. This strategic leadership role requires a deep understanding of the water market a strong background in sales and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems including municipalities utilities and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive market entry and growth strategy tailored to the Spanish market.

  • Identify key opportunities for smart water metering adoption in residential commercial municipal and thermal energy sectors.

  • Define and achieve sales revenue and market share goals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities municipalities distributors and other local partners.

  • Lead contract negotiations and project closures.

  • Establish strategic partnerships to boost market presence.

  • Ensure timely delivery and installation of smart water metering systems.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to address customer needs and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Monitor system performance and provide actionable feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Stay up to date on Spanish regulations standards and policies in water management and smart technologies.

  • Track market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.

  • Deliver regular updates on market dynamics project milestones and financial performance to senior leadership.

  • Represent the company at relevant industry events trade fairs and conferences in Spain.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering Environmental Science or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in Sales with a proven track record in business development or management roles in the water smart metering utilities or IoT sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of the Spanish water management ecosystem including regulations and key decision-makers.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across Spain.
