Job Description
The Associate Vice President Global Transition will lead complex enterprise-scale transition programs for Sutherlands portfolio of global clients. This role will ensure seamless delivery of transition initiatives aligned with Sutherlands growth and digital transformation objectives. The AVP will partner closely with client executives transition teams technology leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver transition excellence while driving measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for global transition initiatives ensuring on-time high-quality execution across multiple client programs
- Manage Transition and Transformation (TnT) teams across the Philippines Americas and Europe
- Oversee a portfolio of transition projects managing scope schedule budget risks and issues
- Presents transition strategy and approach during client deal pursuits
- Delegates and ensures timely high-quality responses to all RFPs requiring a Transition Solution
- Collaborate with the Global Head of Transition and Project Management to develop and execute strategic plans for transitions worldwide
- Lead and mentor transition project managers building a high-performing global team
- Manage senior stakeholder communications and escalation paths to ensure program alignment and client satisfaction
- Establish monitor and report on program-level KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with transition methodologies quality standards and contractual obligations
- Facilitate adoption of best practices in project governance risk management and knowledge management
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the transition team
- Support pre-sales efforts by developing transition strategies solution proposals and resource estimates
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business Technology or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of program or project management experience in complex global environments
- Minimum 3 years in project portfolio management overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives
- PMP certification required (or equivalent project management credential)
- Expertise with modern PM tools such as MS Project Smartsheet Jira and Confluence
- Demonstrated people leadership skills with experience managing mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication stakeholder management and executive presentation skills
- Ability to influence and partner effectively across diverse geographically distributed teams
- Strong problem-solving negotiation and decision-making abilities
- Experience working in business process outsourcing (BPO) shared services or a consulting environment preferred
- Experience with digital transformation automation or technology-driven transitions is highly desirable
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (<20%)
