Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of civil and structural designs for infrastructure projects encompassing elements such as roads bridges dams and drainage systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Utilize CAD software and BIM tools to create and refine detailed drawings and models of civil and structural components ensuring accuracy and compliance with design requirements.
- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to implement design changes and optimizations based on project feedback and technical considerations.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including drawings plans and specifications to support the civil and structural design process maintaining clarity and completeness of documentation.
- Manage design revisions and updates maintaining accurate records of versions changes and project milestones to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
- Assist in reviewing and verifying design documentation to ensure alignment with applicable codes standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects geotechnical engineers and project managers to integrate civil and structural designs into overall infrastructure plans and specifications.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and contribute to resolving design-related issues optimizing structural performance and mitigating project risks.
- Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders to convey design intent address technical inquiries and facilitate project progress.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in civil and structural design or related roles within the infrastructure sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D) and BIM tools (e.g. Revit) with a solid understanding of civil and structural design principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
