At Parks Hospitality Group we are seeking a dedicated and professional Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our hotel property guests team members and visitors. In this highly visible role you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe and secure environment by conducting regular patrols monitoring activities and responding to incidents as needed.
What Youll Do:
- Conduct regular foot patrols of hotel interior and exterior identifying potential safety or security risks.
- Investigate disturbances complaints thefts vandalism or accidents within hotel premises.
- Assist with valet parking and luggage handling providing a welcoming and secure environment for guests.
- Respond to emergency situations like fires or hazards remaining calm and professional.
- Monitor building security through cameras and other surveillance equipment.
- Respond to safety threats promptly assisting management with security-related issues.
- Complete incident reports related to security matters and follow up on actions taken.
- Communicate effectively with management guests and team members ensuring safety and compliance with hotel policies.
- Perform security checks in public areas ensuring all areas are secure.
- Stay informed on hotel activities services and emergency procedures to address issues proactively.
What Youll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a security or similar role.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or required upon hire).
- Valid drivers license to assist with Valet.
- Ability to handle situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving mediation and communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during emergency situations.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods while patrolling the hotel.
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds bend kneel and maintain alertness in all situations.
- Good hearing and attention to sounds with the ability to observe and recognize potential threats.
