School Facilities Coordinator & CDL Bus Driver
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to fill the dual role of School Facilities Coordinator & CDL Bus Driver for our school community.
Position: Superintendent of Buildings & CDL Bus Driver
Location: Two School Buildings in Jersey City and route between Englewood and Jersey City NJ
Employment Type: Full-time
Start Date: September 2025
Key Responsibilities:
As School Facilities Coordinator of Buildings:
- Oversee the daily maintenance and operations of two school buildings
- Ensure cleanliness safety and proper functioning of facilities
- Perform minor repairs and coordinate with contractors for major maintenance
- Monitor heating cooling and electrical systems
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Respond to emergency facility issues as needed
As CDL Bus Driver:
- Safely operate a school bus in compliance with all traffic laws and district policies
- Transport students on route between Englewood and Jersey City both mornings and afternoons
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate records of routes attendance and incidents
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all passengers
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with school bus endorsement (S and P)
- Prior experience in building maintenance or custodial work (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical HVAC and general repairs
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Must pass background check and meet all state and local school district requirements
