Lifeguard - Harvard Recreation (Cambridge MA)
Flexible schedule 5-20 hour per week

Harvard Recreation managed by HealthFitness is looking for part-time Lifeguards to join the aquatics team on-campus in Cambridge MA. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons using Harvard Universitys Aquatics facilities including the Malkin Athletic Center and Blodgett Pool. Youll work with a team assist with maintenance projects perform customer service and help to create a safe and healthy environment while on duty.
Harvards Aquatics team will be holdingLifeguard Certification Courseson-site for individuals who want to become a Lifeguard.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain constant and active surveillance of pool users and visitors with emphasis on the prevention of accidents and injuries.
Help to maintain order in the pool and enforce all facility rules and policies.
Act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of pool users and visitors in the event of an accident injury or other emergency.
Give aid to those in distress and administer CPR and/or first aid as needed.
Other duties as needed/assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old.
Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Red Cross or willingness to obtain.
1 year experience preferred.
Meet Harvard Fitness and Skill standards.
Attend lifeguard orientation session.
Be dependable alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner.
Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
