Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is where experienced highly trained professionals advance the health of patients through specialized expert treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal (bones ligaments muscles tendons) problems. The practices holistic approach to orthopedics involves coordination of personalized services within the practice and with other providers to ensure a comprehensive range of care to people of all ages. We have combined expertise in all major orthopedic specialties including sports medicine orthopedic trauma hand & upper extremities joint replacement and spine care.
Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time 40-hour Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our Injury Clinic onsite Monday through Friday. The clinic hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm so the weekly schedule will consist of 5 8-hour shifts. We are also open to this Physician Assistant working 3 8-hour shifts from 7:30am-8:00pm on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We are very flexible with the schedule to accommodate this employees schedule!
This is a an exciting opportunity to join our Advanced Practitioner team at our Hatfield Injury Clinic while also functioning as part of the larger Orthopedic team and collaborating with our Amherst Injury Clinic. This clinic provides urgent same-day visits for patients provides appropriate evaluation and treatment and establishes needed follow up or surgical care during the visit. We also offer radiology services on-site.
Our APPs help diagnose and treat a variety of acute injuries including:
Sprains and strains
Sports injuries
Foot ankle knee and hip injuries
Hand forearm elbow and shoulder injuries
Fractures and dislocations
In addition to these injuries the candidate must also be comfortable with treating pediatric patients administering therapeutic and diagnostic injections interpreting radiographs reducing fractures and applying splints/casts.
