Position Summary
The Institute for the Arts and Humanities Programmatic Communicator manages and coordinates internal communication efforts. This position primarily focuses on the Institutes primary audience: faculty. Responsibilities include but are not limited to amplifying internal and external opportunities; tracking faculty research creativity and leadership work; collaborating on and communicating with events and programs; and crafting stories about faculty and the Institute through several communication outlets (website newsletter email listservs social media podcast).This role serves as the manager of internal staff communication channels processes and workflow related to project management. In addition the position coordinates retention and archival of key records. This role reports to the Director of Communications.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
- Strong writing and editing skills - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Basic design skills - Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite

- Experience in higher education or non-profit communications - Experience working on a small collaborative team - Experience or willing to learn videography and photography - Experience or willing to learn managing social media accounts - Experience or willing to learn podcast production - Experience or willing to learn newsletter design writing and distribution
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 (hybrid occasional evenings)
