Job Description
Do you have outstanding mathematical skills along with drafting Come work for a well established company as the Estimator!
Responsible for cost/estimating projects and design assistance. Job function involves analyzing architectural plans specifications general and special conditions structural drawings and instruction to bidders for material take offs (extrusions glass flashing buyouts etc.) labor for engineering fabrication installation and other skylight related materials. Additional responsibilities may include preliminary detail drawing and skylight modeling for sales presentations.
Position Requirements
Position requires Associate Degree in technical discipline preferably architecture or engineering or equivalent experience and specific training in costing of materials. Good understanding of mathematics (geometry and trigonometry) and above-average skills in computer drafting. Speed and accuracy in these areas are essential.
Two to four years experience in custom architectural and/or construction products is necessary preferably in skylighting and aluminum/glass oriented products. Knowledge and understanding of contract specifications and construction practices are a plus. Experience with AutoCAD and automated estimating program a plus.
