We help public schools to foster curiosity purpose and engagement cultivating the next generation of innovators and leaders.Position Summary The Communications and Advancement Manager will play a vital role in growing AceraEIs impact. You will lead the design and execution of fundraising strategies craft compelling communications and steward key partnerships with donors foundations districts and mission-aligned organizations. Youll work closely with AceraEIs Director to secure funding elevate our story and build a sustainable nonprofit organization. This is an all hands on deck role with a small two person team so no job should be too big or too small as we will all be doing things like packing boxes for school projects to putting polishing touches on a presentation for high level pitches likely within the same hour!Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising (50%)
- Develop and implement a fundraising plan to meet annual revenue goals.
- Research write and submit grant proposals and donor communications.
- Build and steward relationships with individual donors and foundations.
- Maintain CRM records track giving and support donor acknowledgement processes.
- Collaborate on events donor visits and cultivation strategies.
- Create and manage content across newsletters social media website and reports.
- Write compelling stories of impact educator and student profiles and program updates and reports.
- Collaborate on media campaigns video projects and press releases.
- Ensure brand consistency and alignment with AceraEIs values and mission.
- Serve as a key connector between AceraEI and external partners including districts nonprofits and thought leaders.
- Represent AceraEI at events convenings and community forums.
- Support strategic outreach efforts to expand awareness and engagement.
- You are a strong writer and communicator with a keen sense of story.
- You have experience in fundraising grant writing or nonprofit development.
- You are flexible organized proactive and excited to build something from the ground up.
- You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable with autonomy.
- You are passionate about education equity innovation and systems change.
- Able to travel to multiple locations (mostly locally) as well as do light lifting of materials for events.
- 3 years of experience in fundraising communications or nonprofit partnerships.
- Proven success with grant writing and donor engagement.
- Strong writing editing and content creation skills.
- Comfort with CRM systems (e.g. Constant Contact Givebutter Little Green Light) design tools (e.g. Canva) and digital platforms (Google suite).
- Knowledge of education systems or experience working in/with public schools is a plus.
- Part Time or Full Time potential
- Salary range: $70000$85000 commensurate with experience based on full time.
