JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Group Exercise Coordinator the Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for providing safe group exercise instruction that contributes to each members health and fitness goals while adhering to industry guidelines established by ACSM ACE or AFAA. The Group Exercise Instructor/Water Exercise Instructor also develops and instructs group exercise classes that are highly motivational for all fitness and skill levels.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or General Studies-required
Certification & Licensures:
- Appropriate certification-required and maintained.
Exercise certification: ACE ACSM AFAA or NDEITA
Exercise certification: Mad Dogg Fitour or equivalent
Exercise certification: American Red Cross A-PAI AEA or Arthritis Foundation
d.Yoga Pilates or Barre certification
e. Martial arts based class certification or equivalent required
g. Fitness Certification: ACE AFAA ACMS NASM ISSA NSCA CSCS or equivalent.
-BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
