Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works under direction of the assigned manager to collect and maintain qualitative and quantitative data and reports progress on performance measures. Works collaboratively with the National SAKI Task Force to identify training needs ensures sexual assault trainings align with national best practices and recommendations and that victim-centered response. Facilitates the development and review of Memphis SAKI polices. Ensures the group is meeting its goals and completing the required federal grant reporting. Assists in monitoring sub-recipient agencies. Identifies and schedules relevant training opportunities. Addressesthe untested sexual assault kits and prevents the problem from reoccurring by implementing improved sexual assault response reform practices. Responds to written telephone in-person and e-mail inquiries from local state
and national agencies relating to Memphis effort to reform the testing of sexual assault kits. Monitors the use of grant funds to ensure conformance to program objectives and federal grant standards. Schedules facilitates and documents all Sexual Assault Initiative (SAKI) Task Force meetings. Coordinates multiple services to prevent minimize and address potential trauma to victims when reopening historic sexual assault cases. Works with the Bureau of Justice Assistance SAKI Training and Technical Assistance (SAKI TTA) personnel to gather and implement best practices and procedural information. Completes and submits required local and federal reports in accordance with reporting requirements.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:

Primarily desk work. Requires ability to operate personal computer telephone and other basic office equipment. Requires ability to read and interpret federal state and local regulations and policy regarding planning. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff management and public.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in an office setting amid normal conditions of dust odors fumes and noises.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources Criminal Justice or closely related field and three (3) years experience in at least two of the following areas: program or project administration program development or planning grant management (grant writing project monitoring and evaluation) or public administration. Working knowledge of the criminal justice system and issues preferred. Must possess and maintain
a valid drivers license as a condition of continued employment.
