Job Description

A prestigious international law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate at the 3-5 PQE level to join their Construction Energy & Infrastructure team in Singapore. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on high-profile and complex construction matters within a top-tier legal practice. The firm is open to relocation for the right candidate and provides excellent career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on a range of construction and infrastructure matters with a particular focus on major projects across the Energy and Infrastructure sectors.
  • Drafting and negotiating construction contracts joint venture agreements and other related documentation.
  • Providing strategic legal advice to clients on risk management compliance and regulatory issues in construction projects.
  • Collaborating with cross-jurisdictional teams and liaising with clients across multiple sectors to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Supporting business development activities and contributing to the growth of the firms energy and infrastructure practice.

Key Requirements:

  • PQE Level: 3-5 years (Common Law Qualified Solicitor / Lawyer).

  • Expertise: Strong and demonstrable experience in Construction law with a particular focus on major infrastructure projects energy sector work and related disputes.
  • Proven track record of advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.

  • Experience in drafting negotiating and reviewing construction contracts including standard forms.

  • Solid knowledge of local regulations and standards along with international practices.

  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced collaborative and dynamic environment.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • Experience or a strong interest in business development and client relationship management is a plus.
