About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Strategic Partnerships and Grant Development Manager with a proven history of securing funds from global foundations and international donors. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in education-focused grant writing especially in the ECCE and FLN areas. This role will be instrumental in supporting our resource mobilization efforts by creating compelling proposals reports and managing donor relationships to further our mission.
Scope of work:
The primary scope of work involves supporting the organization in securing Big Bet Funding.
Key responsibilities:
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and assess at least 5 high-value grant opportunities that are strongly aligned with the organizations mission and strategic priorities.
- Funding Conversion: Facilitate the conversion of at least 2 Big Bet Funding opportunities for the organization.
- Proposal Development: Develop compelling and high-quality grant proposals concept notes and other fundraising materials tailored to specific donor requirements.
- Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive and impactful reports for donors detailing project progress outcomes and financial utilization.
- Donor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective donors ensuring consistent communication and stewardship.
- Strategy & Scalability: Contribute to the overall resource mobilization strategy pursuing future big bet grants independently and developing tools templates and processes that foster institutional scalability.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising within the social development sector particularly in education.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in securing funds from global foundations bilateral and multilateral agencies (e.g. UN World Bank Big Philanthropies).
- FLN Experience: Experience in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) is preferred.
- Donor Understanding: Strong understanding of donor priorities and global trends in education funding.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: Competitive commensurate with experience.
