Job Description

Our client a major international law firm is currently seeking a compliance manager to join their HK office.


Job Summary:

  • Lead and manage Asia and Middle East team for business acceptance and compliance queries in Dubai and Hong Kong.
  • Oversee team projects mentor members and ensure timely resolution of queries and new business intake.
  • Provide expert advice on AML/CTF obligations collaborating with senior managers to embed compliance policies.
  • Deliver day-to-day compliance support to the firm ensuring AML/CTF requirements for client onboarding.
  • Establish and implement a quality assurance framework for compliance in Asia and the Middle East.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to meet AML/CTF obligations and contribute to compliance documentation.
  • Support global business acceptance projects.

Requirements:

  • Graduate with at least 4 years of international compliance experience preferably in a law firm focusing on AML and financial crime.
  • Previous experience managing a compliance or business acceptance team in a law firm setting.
  • Practical knowledge of applying a risk-based approach to compliance.
  • Familiarity with sanctions regimes PEPs and high-risk categories with an understanding of offshore structures especially in a funds context.
