The Working Capital Controller will play a crucial role in managing the firms working capital including billing credit control and various commercial and administrative tasks. This partner-facing role involves a mix of financial and operational responsibilities making it ideal for someone with a financial background who is numerically savvy and has strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Billing and Credit Control: Manage billing processes and assist partners with credit control.
- Profitability Analysis: Conduct profitability analysis and support associate training rounds.
- Business Support: Provide ad hoc business support maintain records with partners and ensure timely client billing.
- System Management: Work with systems collaborate with PAs and support the fee-earning team.
- Query Management: Prioritize and address queries providing accurate information and support.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of experience preferably from a law firm or professional services firm with experience in billing or credit control.
- Financial Background: Strong financial background and understanding of profitability.
- Numerical Savviness: Comfortable working with numbers and financial data.
- Commercial Insight: Ability to understand the business of law and provide commercial insights.
- Confidence and Prioritization: Confident in dealing with partners and prioritizing tasks effectively.
