Job Description:

Department Overview:

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst will report to the Manager of the RRM Collections Strategy Reporting & Analytics team. The RRM Collections Strategy Team is responsible for producing recurring and ad-hoc reporting on various collections metrics providing oversight on the Customer Assistance business for all Cards and Retail portfolios. In addition the team frequently produces in-depth business analyses providing insight on the Banks delinquent populations.

Job Description / Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Manager on the RRM Collections Strategy Reporting & Analytics team the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Support the team in the production of key deliverables including several highly circulated RRM reports and dashboards on a monthly basis.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on TD collections and delinquency for all TD credit portfolios.
  • Conduct regular analyses and deep-dives on various Collections & Delinquency subjects based on business needs and ad hoc asks.
  • Support the team in the identification of interesting trends in delinquency at the aggregate and portfolio level.
  • Produce collections reporting develop new reporting based on business needs and support ad hoc data requests from support partners in the bank.
  • Analyze issues and identify potential solutions that further TD Risk Management and Collections Strategy business objectives.
  • Ensure the timely communication of issues that are relevant to the team and encourage a good working relationship with other internal and external groups.
  • You are required to demonstrate governance control and risk management behaviours in alignment with TD policies and practices.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

  • High proficiency traversing and manipulating large relational datasets using querying languages such as SQL SAS and Python.
  • Experience creating insightful data visualizations displaying metrics in a clear and understandable manner using Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills must possess the ability to organize and bring order to data and information drawing conclusions and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly change. Ability to take initiative to complete job requirements while balancing competing workload requirements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to synthesize and distill complex information draft reports procedures presentations and business correspondence.
  • Extremely strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with the guidance of the unit manager.
  • Participate fully as a team member promote team effectiveness and contribute to a positive work environment.

Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations:

  • University degree
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding/experience in other risk areas is considered an asset.
  • Experience using Databricks and Microsoft Azure are considered assets.
