A Day in the Life
We are Cardiac Surgery an innovative unique and growing operating unit of the largest Medtech company Medtronic. For our major product portfolio we seek a highly experienced Senior Marketing Specialist with extensive experience in a European or global role. Your primary responsibility is to develop and execute the Western European Marketing Plan aligning with the Global Marketing Strategy by selecting designing and tailoring campaigns and tactics that are regionally relevant. These initiatives should be optimized to drive performance in support of AOP targets and strategic plan objectives.
This is a key role within the Cardiac Surgery Operating Unit with responsibility for a substantial portion of the portfolio across two distinct product categories. You will lead entire projects or processes within your area of expertise reporting directly to the Marketing Manager Western Europe and cover the Western Europe region. The position requires regular travel approximately 3040% per month.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Develop and execute an omni-channel European marketing plan aligned with Global Marketing and Leadership in close collaboration with regional and local stakeholders including the creation of business cases GTM strategies and new product launch plans tailored for Western Europe
- Drive strategic campaign and content development including adapting and creating customer-facing materials building promotional media plans PR strategies and supporting clinical adoption through localized ERPs and clinical data integration
- Lead pricing strategy and customer engagement partnering with pricing teams to provide detailed guidance engaging customers in line with KOL strategies and organizing key European events congresses and marketing calendar activities
- Monitor execution and performance of marketing initiatives using tools like Salesforce Tableau Power BI and Yoda to track progress and ensuring continuous alignment through regular country reviews customer visits QBRs and leadership team meetings
- Drive market insights and forecasting by leading strategic planning inputs market research VOC and building detailed demand forecasts for the assigned portfolio
- Manage product lifecycle and pricing including monitoring competition adjusting pricing and supporting key customer communications
- Enable Efficient Business Operations by accurate forecasting partnering with Demand planners Sales operations on product allocations teams and creating customer communication related to supply.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in business Marketing Life Sciences or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in marketing
- Extensive experience and a proven track record of product launches and execution
- Extensive experience with value proposition formulation market research media and communication planning
- Exceptional presentation skills strong ability to influence drive teams and lead projects and lead indirect teams to successful completion are required
- Fluency in English and German.
