About the role

As the Senior Manager Acquisitions you will lead a team delivering complex property acquisition and advisory services in support of government infrastructure and planning objectives. You will oversee the delivery of both compulsory and negotiated acquisitions and provide expert guidance across legislation governance and strategic project delivery.

Reporting to the Director Strategic Advisory Services you will:
- Manage and develop a team of property professionals delivering property acquisitions transactions and advisory services for government agencies.
- Provide strategic advice on land and property matters land transaction processes and relevant legislation.
- Oversee project budgets risks and reporting ensuring performance against approved milestones and financial targets.
- Prepare high-quality Ministerial briefing notes addressing contentious issues and supporting decision-making processes.
- Manage consultants and contractors in line with government procurement and probity requirements.

This role is critical in ensuring that land and property acquisition projects are delivered with integrity consistency and value for the community.

About you

You are a trusted property leader with deep knowledge of NSW property legislation and frameworks. You bring a strategic mindset and strong interpersonal skills to lead people and deliver outcomes across complex stakeholder environments.

To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in property valuation economics law planning development project management or similar.
- A proven track record of managing property acquisitions and related transactions preferably in government with a minimum of 57 years experience.
- Strong and demonstrated understanding of the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991 and the NSW Government Property Framework.

- Completion of Core Practitioner training from the Centre for Property Acquisition (highly regarded).
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience developing high-performing teams.
