New opening for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to be our Project Manager and oversee and lead large scale endeavors. There is no PE required for this role also this is not a designing role but must have previous experience in design to oversee the process. If you are an individual with a strong background in mechanical design specifically HVAC and process systems with the willingness to take ownership of overseeing design from SD to CD we want to speak with you!
Salary: $140k-$150k
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the design process across Architectural Structural and MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration of all systems.
- Serve as liaison between engineering and clients.
- Ability to take conceptual design through construction.
- Collaborate with project managers architects and other engineering teams to ensure timely and efficient integration of all systems.
- Work with vendors while supporting the overall project schedule and budget.
- Manage the development of all project designs ensuring they meet client requirements codes and regulations.
- Review and approve detailed MEP design drawings specifications and calculations to ensure quality accuracy and compliance.
- Manage project budgets tracking and reporting on design.
- Monitor scope changes and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize systems performance while reducing costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Mechanicaal Engineering or related field (Masters degree a plus).
- 8 years experience in mechanical design of HVAC/Mechanical solutions MEP with focus on construction projects.
- Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale projects (1 Million).
- Strong background in managing project budgets scope and clients relationships.
- Expertise in HVAC system design.
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD Revit.
- Strong knowledge of building codes regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
