As a Counter Sales Representative at GOES Heating Systems youll be the frontline of customer interaction at our service counter. Your role is to manage sales transactions answer customer questions and recommend products to ensure high satisfaction levels. Youll also handle documentation of transactions and follow-up communication with customers when needed. Daily tasks include preparing products ordering supplies or parts addressing customer concerns processing payments monitoring inventory handling phone inquiries and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities: Customer Interaction
Welcome customers warmly and professionally.
Listen carefully to customer needs and inquiries.
Provide accurate details on products services and pricing.
Assist customers in finding and selecting the right products.
Offer recommendations to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
Address and resolve any customer issues promptly and efficiently.
Sales and Transactions:
Process sales transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
Enter customer orders into the system ensuring all details are correct.
Handle cash credit card and other payment methods securely.
Prepare products for customer pickup or delivery.
Maintain up-to-date inventory records.
Workspace Maintenance:
Keep the counter area tidy organized and visually appealing.
Ensure merchandise is properly displayed.
Restock shelves and replenish inventory as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interaction.
Customer Service:
A friendly and helpful attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
Product Knowledge:
A strong understanding of the heating systems and related products we offer.
Sales Proficiency:
The ability to identify customer needs and close sales efficiently.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
Organizational Skills:
The capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a neat workspace.
Math Skills:
Basic math abilities to accurately handle pricing and transactions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods lift and carry items and move around the workspace.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required with prior experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
