Job Description
Are you a skilled roofing professional with a passion for leadership and precision Were seeking a Sheet Metal Roofing Crew Lead to take charge of commercial and industrial roofing projects. If you have strong hands-on experience with metal roofing systems and enjoy mentoring a team while ensuring high-quality installations this opportunity is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Supervise Roofing Crews on commercial and industrial job sites.
- Oversee installation repair and maintenance of metal roofing systems including:
- Standing seam
- R-panel
- Corrugated
- TPO-over-metal
- Custom-fabricated sheet metal components
- Perform material takeoffs estimates and labor cost projections.
- Interpret and work from blueprints specifications and roofing plans.
- Ensure proper handling of galvanized steel aluminum copper and stainless steel.
- Enforce all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct quality inspections for seam integrity flashing alignment and water resistance.
- Collaborate with project managers and estimators to ensure project efficiency and profitability.
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members supporting safety and skill development.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal roofing (standing seam architectural metal etc.)
- Proven leadership experience managing or supervising a roofing crew.
- In-depth knowledge of roofing materials including:
- EPDM TPO and insulation boards
- Underlayments flashing systems adhesives and fasteners
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and manufacturer guidelines.
- Familiar with estimating software or manual takeoff procedures.
- Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
- Willingness to travel regionally up to 25%.
