Position Summary:
The Mammographer performs diagnostic mammography procedures used by physicians to detect abnormalities and aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role involves direct patient care high-level imaging and adherence to radiation safety and clinical quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Graduate of an approved mammography technology program
Certifications:
Basic or Advanced Life Support certification
Texas Medical Board license (MRT) active or temporary
Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R)
Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M)
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated ability to position and assist patients during procedures
Commitment to quality imaging and patient safety
Familiarity with ACR accreditation and QA processes preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mammography exams while ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures
Prepare patients for procedures and explain steps clearly and compassionately
Administer contrast when needed and ensure the technical accuracy of images
Maintain and monitor patient data and imaging records
Perform equipment quality assurance and assist with accreditation processes
Report any incidents complaints or equipment issues to department leadership
Take on-call responsibilities as needed
Contribute to department goals and mentor junior team members
Fee - 16% Guarantee - 90 days
Schedule: Full-Time (Day Shift) 4x10-hour Shifts (MF) 1 Saturday/Month (Clinic Closes at 1:30 PM)

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology be a graduate of an accredited school of Mammography Technology and have a current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) be a Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) and be a Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
