The Telfer School of Management invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in financial accounting at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor commencing on July 1st 2026.

Title of position: Professor in financial accounting at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The rank is commensurate with experience.

Duties: Academic staff functions include in varying proportions: teaching research and academic service activities.

  • Teaching activities include: i) strengthening quality teaching activities; ii) having excellent pedagogical practices and teaching-related scholarly activities; iii) providing an active contribution to increase our graduate programs and interdisciplinarity and iv) supervising graduate students.
  • Scholarly activities: Applications are invited from candidates with a proven strong capacity in securing competitive research funding and who can maintain lofty standards of excellence with an active research agenda in the field of accounting and related areas such as auditing.
  • Graduate student supervision: Supervise students in the Accounting and Control field of Telfers Doctorate in Management and in the Accounting field of Telfers MSc in Management.
  • Academic service activities: The candidate will be an active member of the Accounting and finance section. Administrative duties will be agreed upon with the section and the Dean.
  • Preferences: The preference will be given to candidates with strong ability to teach in both official languages.

Terms: Vacant tenure-track position.

Wage: The salary scale for an assistant professor starts at $99377 (as of May 1 2025).
