Job Description

Job Description Summary
The Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact for the AMC facility responsible for staffing the front desk and supporting the daily operations of the Economic & Workforce Development ( EWD ) Department. This position performs a variety of administrative clerical and customer service tasks to support departmental efficiency and ensure a welcoming and organized environment for staff trainers students and visitors.

Duties
1. Staffs at the AMC Front Desk. Composes types and displays directional signage for the AMC facility. 2. Submits requests as needed to maintain building cleanliness standards and facility operations. 3. Assists with managing the departments main phone number email accounts mailroom deliveries and general inquiries. 4. Assists with PSAs for trainers and ensures NC E-procurement registration. 5. Enters data in NC E-procurement and submits invoices. 6. Communicates with trainers prepares training folders creates roster links and sends notifications. 7. Generates certificates of completion for trainees. 8. Collects scans and files training documentation; maintains the EWD Department calendar and schedules events. 9. Collaborates with partners A-B Tech instructors and vendors for training documents contracts and invoices. 10. Collects and enters data using the departments SharePoint and an additional project management system. 11. Assists with inventory of supplies and materials vending machine ordering and preparing training materials. 12. Contributes to the College Vision Mission Values and RISE statement. 13. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects. 14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working in higher education. 2. Two years of part-time or equivalent experience working in an office setting. 3. Two years of part-time or equivalent customer service work experience. 4. Two years of data management. 5. Experience with E-Procurement. 6. Proficiency in a foreign language such as French an East Slavic language and/or American Sign Language.
