Job Description
Best Line Equipment is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable/Payable Assistant at our State College PA corporate office. The AR/AP Assistant will be responsible for assisting with AR/AP functions under the guidance of the Corporate Controller.
Essential Functions
- Answer phones take calls related to A/R and assist customers regarding information on their accounts.
- Accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable/Receivable data entry.
- Match-up and verify correct documents and obtain proper authorization to issue payments.
- Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
Work Activities
- Use computers and computer systems to enter data and process information.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Provide information to supervisors employees and external customers and vendors via telephone e-mail or in written form.
- Process information and verify data.
- Enter transcribe record and maintain information in written and electronic form.
- Process information by compiling coding categorizing auditing and verifying information or data.
- Must meet strict deadlines on a bi-weekly and monthly basis.
Skills and Abilities
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Required Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three years relevant Accounts Receivable/Payable experience required.
- Familiarity with general accounting principles.
- Experience in data collection entry and reporting with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant software.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week overtime as needed).
Travel: Travel is primarily local with the possibility of some out-of-state travel.
Working Conditions
- Office Environment indoors and environmentally controlled.
- Frequently sit and or stand.
- Work in a group or as part of a team.
Pay Range: $18.50 - $21.50/hr. dependent on experience
