*$4000 - Sign-On Bonus for Full-time externals pro-rated for Part-time!*
- Prepares materials supplies equipment and the patient to assist the physician or the physician assistant with the patients medical exam.
- Obtains the patients history and basic medical data such as vital signs temperature height and weight vision and chief complaint.
- Provides direct patient care such as ear irrigation vaccinations and medications wound care and suture removal.
- Collects prepares and analyzes patient specimens as directed by the physician or physician assistant.
- Instructs the patient and family on how to perform physician recommended preventive care takes prescribed medication prepares for tests monitors treatment progress and notes symptom changes.
- Contacts the patient by telephone to provide requested follow-up advises them of test results or relays a physicians instructions.
- Performs organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practices and Organizations missions through a process of total quality improvement.
- Completes all meaningful use requirements.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains and Model the Organizations values.
- Demonstrates regular dependable and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills/data entry.
- Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
- Vaccine administration and medication preparation.
- Minimum Experience: one year.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy.
- EKG.
- HS Graduate or Equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN Program.
Working Conditions:
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Some occupational risk
Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt odors noise human waste etc.
