SUMMARY:
As a Registered Nurse - IV your nursing experience and leadership abilities allow you to develop and implement quality care plans for patients while acting as a mentor to others on the unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assessment - Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family.
Planning & Implementation - Develop and document plan of care treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family.
Evaluation & Education - Evaluate communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities.
Training - Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.
Registered Nurse License in State of New York.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates in Human Services or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
Bachelors degree in Psychology Sociology or Human Services preferred.
1-3 years of healthcare experience in related field preferred.
Strong communication skills.
EDUCATION:

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations including continuing education requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience relevant qualifications specialty internal equity location and contracts.
