In the role of Skills Programme Fund Assistant you will be working in the Councils Economy and Skills Service. Under the direction of the new Skills Programme Manager and working closely with Skills Programme colleagues the Fund Assistant will support team with effective and compliant delivery and administration of the Councils Adult Skills funding.
The Role:
Cornwall Councils Economy & Skills Service is seeking a proactive and highly organised Skills Programmes Fund Assistant to support the delivery of the Adult Skills Fund and other skills programmes including Skills Bootcamps. This role is essential in helping to ensure the smooth and compliant administration of the Councils devolved skills funding.
As a Skills Programmes Fund Assistant you will work closely with colleagues in your team to support a wide range of operational and administrative functions. These include assisting with contract management processing claims and payments maintaining accurate records and supporting programme monitoring and evaluation. You will also help coordinate meetings manage communications and contribute to the development of systems and processes that underpin the successful delivery of the funded programmes.
The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative experience excellent organisational and communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You should be confident using Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and Word and be comfortable working with data and supporting performance monitoring. Experience in supporting programme or project delivery particularly in a public sector or skills-related environment would be an advantage.

Working Pattern:
37 hours per week. However we are happy to talk about flexible working options such as part-time or compressed hours.
