About the Role
Intensive Foster and Kinship Care (IFKC) is a family-based care program that supports children and young people aged 0 to 17 years who have been assessed as having a complex or extreme level of support needs.
As a Youth Worker (IFKC) you will provide direct care and mentoring of children and/or young people with a wide range of responsibility for specialised program activities. You will assist in connecting the child or young person to family access to purposeful and goal-oriented support. You will assist in identifying risks and emotional support needs and work in partnership with our Child and Family Practitioners to develop and implement individualised care plans to manage risk pain-based behaviour safety and health management needs. You will have access to training supervision 24/7 phone support and access to planned and emergency respite.
This position is based in Mackay and is Casual.
