This is your chance to work alongside a respected veteran host contribute to a trusted news source and connect with a vibrant engaged audience every weekday morning. Responsibilities of this position may include:
- Produce the live Cantons Morning News Show from 5:30 am to 10 am Monday through Friday
- Help schedule interviews and develop topics for the show.
- Record interviews and post them on our website podcast create shorts for YouTube and share them on other social media.
- Stay up to date on local state and national news and sports to contribute to the show.
- Be proficient in Streamyard WordPress Google Docs and Sheets etc.
- Be flexible as duties can change daily. Covering press conferences sports events and more is a part of some days
- Engage in a respectful manner with guests and listeners.
- Assists in special promotions programming activities and produces show/station promos.
- Video creation abilities are required.
- Background in sports play-by-play and commentary and a good knowledge of sports is helpful.
Requirements of this position include the following:
- A minimum of one year of a show producer experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations.
- Experience in all Social Networking.
- Proficient in the use of audio editing software and broadcast equipment ie Cool Edit or Adobe Audition.
- Skilled in the operation of the control board remote broadcasting and other related production equipment.
- Ability to work nights and weekends during sporting events.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a fully insured personal vehicle.
