Licenses and Credentials
Certified Professional Coder - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) required
Experience
Experience in medical coding clinical data management or a related field. 2-3 years required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and disease processes to accurately assign codes.
- Familiarity with standardized coding systems such as ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and coding clinical data.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management software.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to validate and reconcile coded data.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment.
