Primary Teaching Assistant Richmond September 2025 Start
Location: Richmond South West London
Contract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: 444.00 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025

A lovely school in Richmond is looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 from September. This Primary Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to build their classroom confidence before teacher training or further study.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant youll help the class teacher with lesson delivery classroom routines and one-to-one or small group support. Youll support pupils with reading writing maths and general engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in KS1 or KS2 with core subjects
- Helping with reading groups phonics and handwriting
- Assisting with behaviour and classroom organisation
- Working closely with teachers and SEND staff
Were looking for:
- A 2:1 or above in any subject
- Experience with children in schools clubs or tutoring
- Good communication and enthusiasm for learning
- Availability from September 2025 to July 2026
