Job Description
- Ensure on-time customer delivery
- Manage processes that determine the best mode of transport and select the best carrier to meet on-time delivery requirement for shipments
- Oversee the receipt and verification of inventory within 24 hours
- Ensure proper storage of received inventory
- Participates in the development and implementation of warehousing procedures including receiving shipping warehousing material movements and inventory control
- Responsible for annual performance evaluations discipline and development of team
- Build high performance teams and business structures
- Monitor and control inventory including counts reconciling with inventory systems and bar-coding systems
- Initiate positive methods of driving team performance and metrics
- Track monitor and communicate the progress of shipments
Qualifications
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and supervise others work
- Effective communication skills
- Sense of urgency
- Planning and organizational skills
- Problem analysis and resolution
- Proven leadership ability with a drive for success
Experience
- At least 3 years of prior experience in a manager role in material control warehouse management or a related field
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Able to multitask and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office including Excel
- Knowledge of shipping receiving and distribution processes and procedures
- Possess forklift certification and able to train others on forklift operations
- Experience with ERP/MRP preferred SAP.
