Commercial Graphic Artist
PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsible for creating graphic designs illustrations and layouts for Fat Quarter Shop and contributing to marketing plans and campaigns within the Marketing Team.
JOB DUTIES:
- Design and deliver print and web graphics to spec for Fat Quarter Shop and Its Sew Emma as assigned.
- Contribute concepts and ideas for Its Sew Emma products and cross stitch patterns.
- Create graphic elements for web and print in line with company branding standards including marketing materials packaging labels office signage and handbooks.
- Create branding guidelines for various campaigns to be used by various FQS teams.
- Coordinates with internal teams and regularly gives project updates at marketing meetings.
- Maintain brand standards and guidelines across all design projects
- Review and refine designs based on feedback and ensure accuracy and consistency
- Special marketing projects as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree required
- Experience in marketing and/or design required
- Proficient with advanced computer programs including Adobe InDesign Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge of type design and page layout best practices
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred
- Possess a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to take projects from beginning to completion in a very short time
- Must be able to consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Must be highly organized
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Regularly required to sit or stand bend and reach.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
The use of Personal Protective Equipment is required per the Safety Manual.
