HealthFitness has an excellent opportunity forapart-time (20 hours/wk) Massage Therapist at our corporate client site in Kanata Ottawa (Ontario).In this position you will administer professional massage services to a wide variety of members and chair and table massage; equipment and supplies are provided.
The clients are very excited to bring massage therapy back on site! This facility is located in the IT suburbs of Ottawa close to hiking/mountain biking/snowshoe trails. The area encourages outdoor rec through all 4 seasons.
What you will be doing:
- Perform numerous massage modalities and adjust delivery mode to address the needs of each customer.
- General understanding of body treatments and be willing and able to learn the products and services provided.
- Therapist must be willing and capable to deliver on site table and chair massage in a corporate setting (incidental travel set-up and tear down) in addition to a spa like environment within a fitness center.
- Must function as an active member of an integrated health and wellness team and support department wide events and strategies.
What you bring with you:
- Massage Therapy License with the CMTO required.
- Current Adult First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from the Canadian Red Cross LifeSaving Society St. Johns Ambulance Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ottawa Paramedic Service required.
- Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
- Experience in sports massage techniques.
- Good communication skills; listening and verbal.
