Concrete Finisher
A concrete finisher is a skilled tradesperson whospecializes in smoothing leveling and finishing freshly poured concrete work on a variety of construction projects ensuring a high-quality durable and aesthetically pleasing involves using hand and power tools to achieve the desired texture and level and often requires working with other trades to meet project specifications.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing surfaces:
This can involve cleaning leveling and preparing the base for concrete may also install forms (Molds) to shape the concrete.
Concrete finishers ensure the concrete poured to the correct depth and level.
They use tools like trowels floats and power screeds to smooth and level the concrete surface removing any imperfections.
This includes creating different textures and finishes such as a smooth broom-swept or textured surface as per project requirements.
They may apply curing compounds or other treatments to ensure the concrete cures properly.
Using saws to cut expansion joints in the concrete to prevent cracking as it cures.
Concrete finishers must ensure that the finished concrete meets specifications and adhere to all safety protocols.
They may need to read blueprints or project plans to understand the requirements of the job.
Concrete finishers often work alongside other construction professionals like masons and carpenters. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education: no minimum education requirements.
Certifications/ Licenses: Valid State ID or Drivers License
Experience: 5 years of Journeyman level experience.
