The Opportunity

As a Lecturer in the School of Educational Psychology and Counselling you will contribute to teaching and supervision across programs in psychology counselling and/or Applied Behaviour Analysis. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences developing course materials and assessments and coordinating units as chief examiner.

In addition to teaching you will supervise postgraduate research students contribute to impactful research in your area of expertise and engage in academic service. Your work will support the continued development of the counselling educational psychology and/or Applied Behaviour Analysis professions with a focus on advancing relevant theories interventions and real-world applications.

As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated teaching expertise in counselling psychological interventions and/or Applied Behaviour Analysis with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across education and service sectors. You will be skilled in curriculum development and postgraduate supervision and possess an emerging research profile and professional network to support ongoing innovation and development.

For candidates that demonstrate a quality track record of research in addition to teaching there may be opportunities to engage in independent and collaborative research in this field. To attain a research workload an emerging track record of strong theoretically informed empirical research is needed alongside methodological expertise in quantitative qualitative or mixed research methods.
