Role Description:
As a Controls Project Engineer you ll lead the configuration installation commissioning and ongoing support of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) in data centers. You ll manage projects end-to-end working closely with vendors contractors and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and system performance. This is a 12 month contract with an opportunity to extend.
What you ll do:- Configure validate install commission and support BMS/EPMS systems.
- Provide technical assistance throughout the data center lifecycle.
- Develop project scopes schedules budgets and resource plans.
- Manage project procurement and vendor coordination.
- Oversee commissioning troubleshooting and controls system optimization.
- Design control panels BOMs cable routing plans and wiring diagrams.
- Conduct on-site safety inspections and ensure compliance with standards.
- Supervise vendor work ensuring alignment with design scope and regulations.
- Navigate complex stakeholder requirements and resolve project challenges.
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Electrical or related Engineering plus 3 years of relevant controls experience OR 8 years of experience without a degree.
- Experience with HVAC Controls Electrical SCADA and industrial protocols (MQTT BACnet MODBUS).
- 3 years on-site controls experience in critical environments (data centers pharma oil & gas).
- 2 years project/vendor management experience in construction or commissioning including documentation and quality control.
