Job Description

The Human Resources Manager at KAYA Climate Solutions GmbH will be responsible for the staff and resource topics. Being part of a Berlin-based organisation the role requires expertise in the human resource topics in a German context. The colleague in this role should be agile methodical and results driven. At the same time they should be an empathetic person to develop congruous teams and growth paths for individuals. They will report to the CEO and work closely with the Heads of Finance Legal and HR in KAYA Germany and KAYA Angola. The role is to be filled right away. It is a tenure limited to one year with the possibility of extension.

Tasks

  • Lead the recruitment and on-boarding process
  • Lead the immigration work travel and HR-related insurance processes and arrangements
  • Lead the leave sabbatical office events and other human resource-related processes and activities
  • Steer the learning and development program for the employees as well as the organisation in close cooperation with the leadership team
  • Steer the periodic employee review and appraisal processes in close cooperation with the leadership team
  • Support the CEO with general executive tasks
  • Steer the physical and digital knowledge and information management in the organisation
  • Conduct organisational meetings like our Biweeklies by building the agenda and ensuring readiness of departments and presentations
  • Steer dialogue and exchange between the Head Office and HR teams in the Project Country Offices

Requirements

  • Over three years of experience in leading the abovementioned HR processes with a strong sense of calling for them
  • Strong knowledge of German labour laws
  • Experience in administering Personio or a similar HR Information System is desirable
  • Willingness to live and work in Berlin
  • Willingness to commit to a full-time (40-hours) role
  • Willingness to commit to a hybrid model with three office days per week
  • Willingness to travel overseas for work especially to subSaharan Africa
  • Possibility to see samples of work done and contacting former employers for references
  • In addition to English and German fluency knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
  • Specialised training in one or another necessary HR-skill is a plus
  • Education in human resource management is desirable
