The Ctvs Surgeon Consultant is a pivotal role within our healthcare organization specializing in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. Based in Rajkot Gujarat this position is crucial for delivering expert surgical care to patients with complex cardiovascular issues. The Consultant will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive pre-operative operative and post-operative management. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments of patients.
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries with precision and expertise.
- Lead surgical teams during operations ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage post-operative care and monitor patient recovery.
- Collaborate with cardiologists anesthesiologists and nursing staff.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Conduct follow-up consultations to assess patient progress.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and train junior surgical staff and residents.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiothoracic surgery.
- Engage in clinical research and contribute to published studies.
- Educate patients and their families regarding surgical options and recovery processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
- Participate in hospital strategic planning and departmental meetings.
- Provide expert opinion in multidisciplinary case discussions.
Required Qualifications
- MD/MS in General Surgery or equivalent.
- Super Specialty qualification (MCh/DNB) in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant surgical field.
- Proven experience in complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.
- Certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS/ACLS).
- Strong understanding of cardiothoracic surgical techniques.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments with critical patients.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Fellowship or additional training in specialized cardiothoracic areas is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
- Familiarity with relevant clinical regulations and ethical practices.
