In this role you will lead the Business and Strategic IT Consulting (BSIC) practice for our Business Unit and be responsible for the overall growth and strategy of the BSIC practice. Our BSIC core offerings focus on the following horizontal capabilities: CFO Advisory (Federal Financial Management) CIO Advisory and Digital Leadership Security and Risk Advisory Artificial Intelligence Advisory (including Intelligent Automation) and Change Management Advisory.
The Director Business Consulting will drive the sales cycle and report directly to the Vice President of Business Engineering. You will oversee strategic planning management and direction of bid and proposal (B&P) resources. This includes target identification capture strategies proposal development contract award and customer relationship management. You will collaborate with BSIC counterparts across our Federal Strategic Business Unit to ensure that best-in-class solutions are brought to clients. You will also play a key role as part of a matrixed organization in developing and executing client development plans to grow BSIC work across our customer base.
This position is located in our Fairfax VA office and/or our Arlington VA office.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients for future growth. To ensure a high quality of services delivered to our clients you will maintain awareness of existing client engagements to assist in achieving client satisfaction and targeted revenue and profitability through providing innovative solutions thought leadership and best practices in specific BSIC technical domains.
As part of a horizontal within a matrixed organization collaborate across sectors and sub-sectors to drive growth with an emphasis on cross-pollinating solutions and capabilities from other organizations to support Business Unit growth.
Progress the BSIC pipeline in coordination with multiple sectors from identifying new opportunities to proposal to delivery ensuring successful capture activities support and drive new business.
Align BSIC offerings and resources to existing strategic client growth plans to secure new business and expand existing accounts within the portfolio. Influence future client growth plans based on evolving BSIC priorities and industry direction.
Lead proposals and evolve solution offerings to ensure CGI delivers best-in-class solutions to clients.
Support client satisfaction in partnership with account management teams oversee the integration of innovative solutions and provide guidance on best practices in BSIC technical domains. Collaborate with CGI internal partners to provide end-to-end service offerings to clients championing CGIs BSIC capabilities.
Produce strategic external and internal marketing collateral (e.g. white papers factsheets etc.).
Understand the market and where the overall industry is going as it relates to emerging technology such as AI and Cybersecurity and be proficient in articulating technical solutions for each.
Develop a communication plan that fully integrates BSIC with multiple sectors Emerging Technologies.
A bachelors degree with minimum 10 years of work experience in the Federal market.
Proven track record of business development and client relationship management from ground-level project teams up to C-level executives within Federal agencies.
Experience in the areas of CFO Advisory (Federal Financial Management) CIO Advisory and Digital Leadership Security and Risk Advisory Artificial Intelligence Advisory (including Intelligent Automation) and/or Change Management Advisory.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be proficient developing and delivering presentations on solution and business case/value to large groups of Federal IT executives and managers.
Strong decision making judgment and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional hybrid teams.
Active security clearance preferred

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $141200.00 - $305800.00.
