The Opportunity:
As theStudent Employment Coordinator in the Academic Sucess and Career Center you are responsible for managing and facilitating the day-to-day administration of student employment positions for undergraduate and graduate students seeking on-campus and off-campus part-time jobs. You serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders who have a vested interest in student employment. In this role you assist students with employment questions and applications post employment vacancies on the Handshake platform act as the campus liaison to departments with student employment needs and plan and implement University-wide recognition events for National Student Employment Appreciation Week. You also coordinate the newly formed student employment advisory board which works to implement a student employment training series aimed at helping on-campus employers create and navigate impactful student employment experiences. Additionally you serve as the Job Location & Development (JLD) Coordinator and are responsible for ensuring off-campus employment opportunities for students.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3665 - $4882 Range 41 Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalentANDtwo years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.
Two years of full-time experience in a student services or related area;
Strong organization written and oral communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail;
A motivated/enthusiastic work style and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of internal and external constituents;
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint;
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends;
Experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a career-services or related office.
Demonstrated experience and commitment to student success and retention.
Experience working with faculty staff alumni volunteers or other constituent groups.
